An interesting query.
Is oral sex a sin? I know having sex before your marriage is [a sin] but there’s nothing about oral sex that I know about. Someone please explain.
Without going into a long explanation about right and wrong, here are some things to consider when it comes to oral sex outside of marriage as well as within a marriage. You didn’t mention if you were married already or not, so we’ll talk about both sides.
Outside of marriage, the bible seems to be clear about sex being a no-no. So, it’s pretty safe to say that all things that relate to sex would be viewed in the same way. If you’re engaging in sexual acts and you’re not married, this is something that violates the sacredness of marriage and a promise to God to be pure until you say, “I do.” But it’s a matter that can be debated in the opposite direction too. However, if the pope were to be asked of this matter, he’d probably say that oral sex is a sin outside of marriage.
Within a loving marriage, that seems to be a different ballgame. Many passages in the bible seem to encourage oral sex so long as both partners are consenting.
In the end, there is no right or wrong answer because it’s a personal choice that a Christian needs to make. Both sides can be supported with biblical passages, but if you have to ask whether or not it’s a sin, it seems as though you’ve already answered that question in your mind. It seems you already believe it’s a sin, but want someone to say that it’s not so you can be guilt free.
