28 Aug 07 Is the Verdict Out? Oral Sex Cancer
Medical research posted yesterday claims that oral sex is implicated in throat and neck cancers. Bad news seems to sell and the media love “doom and gloom” headlines to attract your attention. There’s no concrete evidence and the article also states this by implying that it may cause throat and neck cancers. This uncertainty is also stated in the article: “The study authors suspect the reason may be orally transmitted HPV infections.”
Oral sex has been around for a long time and I find it hard to believe that all of a sudden that this is supposed to be bad for us. Sometimes, I wonder if the cause of this cancer is most likely caused by what we eat and breathe. It seems like our food is getting tarnished or processed and our air less clean so it could be any reason. Just to play devil’s advocate here.
I am a true believer of if it feels good and you enjoy it, do it. Life is too short and we should live life to its fullest.

Next next time you are visiting your grandparents and you hear some banging in the house, they may just be having sex. Strange to believe - Seniors having sex! Our society seems to dishonor people when they are old and believe that their human desires seem to dwindle away. Well apparently not!
I visited my mother a few years ago in Germany and her 80+ old neighbor invited me over for some coffee and cake. A general chit chat, I thought nothing more. She surprised me when she asked me, “Do you think everything still works?”. I was a bit confused by her queries and asked her to explain. She told me that she met a guy and wanted to have sex and was worried that everything might not work. I told her that she will be fine and to enjoy it.
A few weeks later, I bumped into her in town and she had the biggest grin on her face. I truly believe that healthy people are also sexually active. Well at least, we smile a lot.
There’s definitely now Old age ‘no barrier’ to sex life. According to the BBC,“Half of the people surveyed up to the age 75 said they had oral sex.” I say “Good on them!”.
